Dispute Resolution Policy[edit source]
Welcome to the Worldpedia Dispute Resolution Policy page. This policy outlines the steps users should follow when conflicts arise within the Worldpedia community.
Purpose of This Policy[edit source]
Disagreements are a natural part of collaboration, but they should be handled in a respectful and constructive manner. This policy aims to:
- Provide a structured way to resolve disputes.
- Promote a civil and respectful editing environment.
- Encourage mediation and discussion before taking formal actions.
Steps for Resolving Disputes[edit source]
Follow these steps before escalating a dispute to administrators:
1️⃣ Talk to the other party
- Start a civil discussion on the article’s talk page or the user's talk page.
- Clearly explain your concerns and suggest solutions.
2️⃣ Seek a third opinion
- If direct discussion does not resolve the issue, request input from an uninvolved user at Worldpedia:Third Opinion.
3️⃣ Request mediation
- If the dispute continues, ask for voluntary mediation at Worldpedia:Mediation Committee.
4️⃣ Arbitration (Final Step)
- If all previous steps fail, the case may be taken to Worldpedia:Arbitration Committee for a final decision.
Unacceptable Behavior in Disputes[edit source]
During a dispute, avoid:
- Personal attacks or insults.
- Edit wars (repeatedly undoing others’ edits).
- Harassment or intimidation.
Any violation may result in warnings, temporary blocks, or permanent bans.
